The Strive Program has began fall of 2005 and we
are excited about the 5 students who were selected to participate in the
program. Each student has two mentors who meet with the
student twice a month to offer encouragement
and support. Each student will be eligible to receive four $250 educational grants for their Junior year in
High School and two $250 educational grants for their Senior year in High School. As Rotarians we are excited
to be offering these students a chance to succeed and continue their education.
If you have any questions about this program please contact Nancy
Leipold at (248) 666-3245 or Ron Newman at (248)625-1044.

We are pleased to announce that the Waterford Kettering High
School Interact Club is off to a great start. The Interact Club at
Waterford Kettering has Rotary members Margie Gobler and Brian
Drake at the meetings which are held every Tuesday morning before
school.
A new Interact Club is being started at the Waterford Mott High
School with the help and perseverance of Waterford Rotary members
Steve Chang and Jean Pizana, who are working hard with the members
to build the club.
We look forward to working with the Interact Clubs at both high
schools on joint Rotary Projects.
TSUNAMI AID FUNDS RAISED
Steve Chang and Ted Taylor of the Waterford Rotary Club accept a
check for $4,000 from Alexandra McGregor and Cass Harris of the
Waterford Kettering Interact Club. The money was raised through
fundraising projects and was sent with another $2,500 from the
Rotary Club to Rotary Club's in Sri Lanka and Malaysia to rebuild
schools and buy medical supplies for the countries devastated by
